New Corporate Identity

Following on the successful transition from plain old Island Tel to Island Tel: An Aliant Company (it appears as though there is a corporate dictate that the An Aliant Company bit must always be present), I have decided to transition Reinvented’s corporate identity.

Reinvented Inc. - A Reliant Company

Henceforth we will be known formally as Reinvented Inc. — A Reliant Company.

Disclaimer: This change is subject to statutory and regulatory approval in the jurisdictions where Reinvented Inc. — A Reliant Company does business. Reinvented Inc. — A Reliant Company is in no way associated with DaimlerChrysler AG and no such association should is implied by our repositioning. Similarly, there is no corporate connection (other than rhythmic) between Reinvented Inc. — A Reliant Company and Island Tel: An Aliant Company. A 1985 Plymouth Reliant gets 26 mpg city, 33 mpg highway.

Isn’t it time we all just dealt with it and called Island Tel “Aliant — the company formerly known in part as Island Tel” then we can move to its real name “Aliant: a company soon to be called a division of BCE”.

I didn’t receive the memo regarding the corporate identity switch. I guess I would now be Johnny: A Reinvented: A Reliant Company Company.

Does the red stripe on that reliant indicate that it was in the service of the Canadian Coast Guard?

Maybe the red stripe was because the owner thought it made his cool car more neato.

It’s a speed stripe.

Does it enhance the speed capabilities of the Reliant? or is it an graphic representation of the actual speed capabilities?

How many people here own Volkswagons — sheep.

I have owned my Golf since 1994 and had a 74 Bug from 1986 to 1988. They work, they are cheap and they go forwards and backwards.

Whither sheep, former Fox owner?

Well, I may as well confess — I once owned (and loved) a VW Fox. It was a great car, one day (a few weeks after I bought it) I was driving along, singing loudly with the complex harmonies of Moxy Fruvous’s classic Bargainville album, when the car stalled and the electric system went dead. I smell an odd burning ordour (most burning odours, when coming from your car, are odd).

I stopped, got our, and watched it burn to the ground. It turned out that the battery had come loose, scrapped against the hood, and sparked. It was totalled and my insurance didn’t cover fire.

I miss my Fox, but I’ve been happy with an old ‘87 toyota I’ve been driving since.

Quack.

Does the 17 year old golden retriever in the corporate ID specs require a spot colour or could it be substituted for a 12 year old black lab when being used in a one colour job?

In extreme circumstances, other four-legged animals of roughly the same size as a 17 year old golden retriever can be substituted. However we would prefer that the colouration be similar. In other words, lions, gazelles and kangaroos would be fine, but we would prefer that iguanas, otters and zebras be avoided.

I think Peter jumped the shark with this one.
