MacAusland’s Woolen Mill

We took Olle and Luisa up west for the day on Friday, with MacAusland’s Woolen Mill as the primary destination. It’s a wonderful place, and somewhere everyone should visit.

Trying to make sense of the grammar on that sign… missing apostrophes is one thing… but adding extras?

I would assume the sign, in itself, also disclaims the company from grammatical responsibility.

I am generally unable to wear or interact with anything woolen, as I find wool to be itchy and annoying. Whatever they do to MacAusland’s blankets, however, makes them soft and not itchy at all.

There used to be an old stone grist mill around there as well. You could take your wheat there and get stone ground flour. I believe they were using the same sluice way in days of yore but I’m not certain. Is that still there or is it long gone?
