Poppa Neutrino and his raft

If you read the facsinating article in The New Yorker last week about Poppa Neutrino and his attempt to sail a “scrap raft” across the Pacific Ocean, you might want to check out floatingneutrinos.com, especially the FAQ page.

fascinated by poppa’s story in the new yorker. is staggers the imagination, to the point of unbelievability, to read of so many harrowing experiences in so many places in so short a time.

where is neutrino now in his latest gambol??

Here’s an interview w/ the author of the New Yorker piece: http://www.newyorker.com/onlin…

This says he’s hiking in Yosemite now, planning to continue voyage across Pacific in the fall.

Also: Is this info not on their ‘site?… I guess maybe not, as it’s just coming back to me that the last update seems to have been a while ago.

(PS — For all the other bells & whistles on this interface, I’m surprised there isn’t a Preview button[!])

Poppa Neutrino will be building his new and improved raft for a Pacific crossing in Portland, Oregon on the Columbia River. Anyone wishing to join the expedition or to learn how to build a raft and live free can contact me at the address shown. Everyone is welcome. Bring your animals too.

Poppa Neutrino has done a few notable things in life, but he left life behind in the process. Its now up to new folks to continue and thats what the PacificNeutrinos are doing.
The whole idea of this effort is to enjoy life. Living with Poppa is a major effort not many would welcome — people are far better off living his life vicariously. Later on he’ll be forgotten, as such adventurers generally are. For the people that really are remembered are those who leave behind legacies of hope and love. Or war…. Very rarely are adventurers remembered. For instance, without looking anywhere, who was the first man in space? Who was the first on the moon? Simple test and very few will pass it.
